Slash command
Start a flow when someone uses a slash command.
trigger.command runs when someone uses this command in a server.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | The command's name. It can be up to three words, such as market config set. Later words make a subcommand, which Buildcord registers under the first word. |
| Description | What Discord shows next to the command. |
| Options | The inputs the command asks for. |
Options
Each option has:
- A name, which you use in steps as
{option.name}. - A description.
- A type: text, whole number, number, true or false, member, channel or role.
- Whether it's required.
- For a text option, an optional list of choices. Members can then pick only those values.
Ways out

Notes
- Buildcord registers your commands with Discord each time you deploy.
- Two commands can't share a name, and every command needs a flow. A command flow that no command registers can never run, so the checker warns you.
- Commands work on the commands-only plan. They don't need the gateway.
Example
A /give command with a required member option and a required amount option can use {option.member} and {option.amount} in later steps.
