Welcome to Buildcord
Draw a Discord bot as flows, design the messages it sends, and deploy it without writing a server.
Buildcord is a visual builder for Discord bots. You draw what the bot does as a flow, a set of connected steps, and Buildcord runs it for you. Buildcord isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.
This documentation explains how the builder works and what every step you can add to a flow does.
Quickstart
Build a slash command that replies, and deploy it in about ten minutes.
Flows
Learn what starts a flow, and how steps connect.
Nodes
Look up any step: what it does, its settings, and where it can lead.
Tokens
Find every {token} you can put in a text field.
How the pieces fit
A bot in Buildcord has four kinds of parts.
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Flows | The logic. Each flow starts with a trigger and continues through steps, called nodes. |
| Designs | Embeds, buttons and menus, and forms (modals) that your flows send. |
| Data | Variables for single values and collections for tables of rows. |
| Settings | The bot's token, plan, region and invite link. |
When you deploy, Buildcord compiles every enabled flow into a blueprint, a table of steps that the runtime executes. The runtime never needs to know what your canvas looked like. See Blueprint for the details.
How these docs are organized
- Concepts explain ideas you need before you build: flows, values, designs, data and plans.
- Nodes is the catalog. There's one page for each category, and every node has its own section.
- Reference lists events, tokens, the blueprint format and the deploy process.

The builder includes templates for welcome messages, tickets, verification, giveaways, suggestions and looking-for-group posts. Open one, then read the matching node sections to see how each step works.
