Permissions
Branch on what a member, or the bot itself, is allowed to do.
logic.permission checks a member's server-wide Discord permissions, or the bot's own.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Check | A member, or the bot itself. |
| Who | For a member: who. Empty is whoever started the flow. |
| Has | One or more of Discord's permissions, picked from the list or typed, separated by commas. The default is Manage Messages. |
| With several | Needs all of them, or any of them. |
Ways out
| Way out | Taken when |
|---|---|
Allowed | They have it, or all (or any) of them. An administrator has every permission. |
Denied | They don't. |
Turn on If it fails for a red way out, taken when Discord can't be asked.
Notes
- A command, button or form says what its user and the bot may do, so checking them is instant. Anywhere else, such as an event flow or a member named, the permissions are worked out from their roles and the server's owner has them all. Permissions a single channel gives or takes away aren't counted.
- Put it first in any flow that moderates, so members can't use a command meant for staff. Wire Denied to a private Reply.
- Checking the bot is how a flow can say "I need the Manage Roles permission" before trying.
Example
Check Ban Members before Ban a member.
