Wait
Pause the run before the next step, for seconds or days, or until a moment.
logic.wait pauses the run, then continues. The run is kept safe in the bot's store meanwhile, so a wait of days survives restarts and deploys: it's how to do something later, such as lifting a temporary role, sending a reminder or ending a giveaway.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| For | How long: 5 seconds, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day or 3 days, or a length such as 90s, 2h 30m or {option.length}. The default is 5 seconds. |
| Or until | A moment to wait for instead, such as {row.endsAt} or 2026-12-24T18:00. See Date and time for how a moment can be written. |
Ways out
out. Turn on If it fails for a red way out.
Notes
- The run takes no memory while it waits, so a long wait costs nothing.
- The longest wait is 89 days.
- The run finishes on the version of the bot it started on, even if you deploy a new one in between.
- The canvas shows the length, such as
3 days. - To wait for someone to answer, use Wait for a reply. To limit how often a flow can run, use Cooldown.
Example
A /tempban command: ban {option.member}, wait {option.length}, then unban them.
